Rowing along

Today is the 30th of December 2007. We have a family blog and I have decided to start a personal blog where I can journal my thoughts, prayers, praises and faith.

Why is it entitled, "Rowing along"? My mother has always conveyed to me that it takes two to row. What does this mean? She is not communicating actual rowing of a boat down a river or canal, but rather relationships. Our relationships with our friends, co-workers, spouses and children...if one person is doing all the communication (rowing) the relationship will not make the journey of life...it takes two...give and take.

Similarly, our Lord, waits for us to come to him and commune. He is waiting for us to sit and be still to hear His still small voice.
